Treatments and prices

Sports massage, deep tissue massage, cupping and injury advice, booked by length and paid for by card when you book.

Prices by treatment length

Every treatment can include sports or deep tissue massage, cupping and aftercare advice. You choose how long; we decide together on the day how best to use the time.

You pay by card when you book online. To change an appointment, use the link in your confirmation email or give me a ring.

Sports massage

Sports massage is firm, focused work on the muscles you use most in your sport or training. It helps loosen tight muscles, eases soreness after hard sessions and keeps you moving freely.

It is not only for race day. Plenty of people book it as regular upkeep, every few weeks, to stay on top of the tightness that builds up with training.

  • Before an event, to feel loose and ready
  • After a race, a match or a hard block of training
  • As regular upkeep, so small niggles do not become big ones

Deep tissue massage

Deep tissue massage works slowly and deliberately into the deeper layers of muscle. It suits stubborn tightness and knots that have built up over weeks, whether from training, work or posture.

Deep does not have to mean painful. The pressure builds gradually and you can ask for it lighter or firmer at any point.

  • Long-standing tightness in the back, neck and shoulders
  • Knots that keep coming back
  • Tight hips and legs from desk work or driving

Cupping

Cupping uses cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction, lifting the skin and muscle rather than pressing into it. I use it alongside massage on areas that feel tight and stuck.

Cupping can leave round marks on the skin. They are not bruises from impact, and they usually fade within a few days. If you would rather avoid marks, for a holiday or an event, just say.

  • Used within a massage, not instead of one
  • Good for broad, tight areas such as the back and thighs
  • Always optional: tell me if you would rather not

Injury advice and aftercare

Every treatment comes with honest advice about what is going on and what to do next. That means simple stretches and aftercare you can do at home, and guidance on easing back into training.

If something needs a different kind of help, such as a scan or a physio, I will tell you, so you are not booking massage you do not need.

  • Stretches chosen for your sport and your problem areas
  • Aftercare to keep the benefit going between sessions
  • Straight answers about returning to running, football or the gym

Before you book

Can I mix treatments in one session?

Yes. You book a length of time, not a single technique, so one session can include sports massage, deep tissue work, cupping and stretches, depending on what you need on the day.

How often should I have a sports massage?

It depends on how much you train and how your body feels. Some people come every few weeks as upkeep, others book around races, matches or a sore spell. We can talk about what makes sense for you at your appointment.

I have an injury. Should I see a doctor first?

If you have had a sudden injury with swelling, a fall, numbness or pain that is getting worse, see your GP or a physiotherapist first. For tightness, aches and the everyday niggles that come with training, sports massage is a good place to start.

How will I feel afterwards?

Most people feel looser straight away. You may feel a little tender for a day or two, much like after a hard training session. Drink some water, keep moving gently and do the stretches you are given.
